Looking for a fun, free event this weekend? Check out the Red Bull Soap Box Derby. The race is a fierce competition between local folks (both businesses and teams of friends) that have poured their blood, sweat, and creative genius into super cool homemade race cars. They will speed down 10th Street near Piedmont Park in a race to finish line - and all the glory that it brings (plus some far out prizes).
So, head to the streets to cheer on the teams as they don wacky getups and attempt to take home the gold in their human-powered (humans that are, presumably, Red Bull-powered) vehicles. The gates open at 10 a.m. and the first race starts at noon.
